Presentation of the hospital

Our hospital concept is based on three departments:

- our outpatient clinic and a small surgery department with three beds, located on the ground floor;

- the Gynecology department with 6 beds for gynecological treatments and 4 beds for surgical patients, an intensive care unit with 5 beds and an operating room for gynecological, oncogynecological and hysteroscopy-laparoscopy procedures, on the first floor;

- and the maternity ward with 10 beds, a delivery room with two labour rooms, the operating room for Caesarean sections, and the newborn nursery, with newborn intensive care, on the second floor.

The Front Desk is in the waiting hall, and offers a range of newspapers, coffee and water vending machine to make your waiting time as short and diverting as possible. The front desk can help you to:
* get information on the services offered and their schedule

* make appointments (these can also be made on our website at "Making appointments online", in special cases via phone or via email at [email protected])

* to supply your personal data to the computer system, and to make hospital admission arrangements

* get your results, and discharge summaries

* complete your payment of medical services received (major credit cards accepted)

Specialist examinations (obstetrics, gynecology) are performed in three fully equipped exam rooms equipped with 2D abdominal and transvaginal ultrasound, color Doppler and 3D / 4D ultrasound.

Each exam room is equipped with a General Electric Voluson Expert device that allows for complex investigation of fetal morphology, as well as static (3D) and moving (4D-live) three-dimensional ultrasound, including image capture on paper or on CD.

The ground floor also hosts day hospital department where small surgeries are performed, which do not require prolonged supervision. These minor procedures (pregnancy terminations on request, endometrial biopsies, cervical biopsies under colposcopic control, etc.) can be performed under intravenous anesthesia (narcosis), or in some cases under local anesthesia or nitrous oxide respiratory analgesia (minimization of pain).

The operating unit, designed, built and then rebuilt according to the current health standards, equipped with a sterile air system, has a fully equipped operating room for classical gynecological surgery, but also for minimally invasive surgery - laparoscopy, hysteroscopy.

The adult resuscitation department, with three beds for intensive care and two for post-operative surveillance, allows the monitoring of patients immediately after the surgery and the monitoring of patients that need complex surveillance.

The blood transfusion unit authorized according to the regulations in force operates within the Anesthesia and Intensive Care department.

The rooms, wards are comfortably furnished, each of them has a toilet and a shower, they are equipped with sources of oxygen, emergency bell, air conditioning, refrigerator, TV and internet access.
Meal is provided via a catering system, adapted to the specific needs of our patients.

The delivery room is fully equipped in order to allow for complete delivery care, and to resolve any complications that may occur during expulsion, and immediately after that. The position of the delievry table can be adjusted and ensures maximum comfort during expulsion. It allows both for proper delivery care, and protection of the new-born.

Placental blood sampling kits and equipment for isolation and storage of stem cells are also available. Our hospital has cooperation agreements with several stem cell processing providers.

The C-section Operating Room: In case of associated pathologies, when the obstetrical situation does not allow for vaginal birth, or if the parturient so wishes and accepts the risks of the procedure, babies can be delivered via Caesarean section. The medical circuits of the hospital allow for quick access to the C-section operating room in emergency situations (obstructed labor, fetal distress, etc.).

A fully equipped newborn resuscitation unit is ready to provide complex neonatal reanimation and monitoring under the permanent supervision of the on-duty neonatologist consultant.

The semiprivate rooms with two adult beds and two beds for newborns offer safety and comfort, being fitted with an oxygen source, an emergency call button, air conditioning, refrigerator, TV and Internet access.

The furniture is designed in such a way that it allows for comfortable rooming-in of baby and mother, and facilitates breastfeeding as often as needed by the baby.

Gynia is a breastfeeding-friendly hospital. Our trained staff are there to support young mothers in breastfeeding their children. However, for mothers with lactating difficulties in the first days, we also operate a properly equipped baby feeding area.

On the third floor, patients and visitors can relax in a pleasant setting on the terrace of the building.

The maternity ward is organized around the birth unit, consisting of a birthing room, two labor rooms, an operating room for performing Cesarean sections, the newborn resuscitation department and five confinement rooms organized in rooming-in system.

The two labor rooms – each of them having one bed and a private toilet - are intended for maternal and fetal supervision during cervix dilation. They are equipped with movable, folding beds, permanently available cardiotocographs and a source of oxygen, so that labor can be safe both for the mother and the baby.

During labor the future moms can use special balls and we can provide epidural analgesia upon request, the presence of a family member is allowed in addition to the midwife. Epidural analgesia removes pain during contractions so that the important event of the birth of a new family member not be a torment. The presence of a family member with the midwife during labor is permitted and encouraged.
